Veneers are an excellent way to redesign and reshape your smile. Veneers are a ceramic shell that covers your existing tooth structure. In placing veneers on your teeth, you are able to address issues such as staining, cracked teeth, spaces, misaligned teeth, chipped teeth and many other issues.
In terms of the veneer process, it involves approximately three phases. At the first visit, we will discuss the new shape and look of your choosing. We will look at smile design options and tooth shades. We will take impressions of your existing teeth so the laboratory can return to us your smile design in wax. This is called a cosmetic wax-up. Together we will look at this to determine if we want to make any changes or if you like the wax-up then we are a go! We will then carefully prepare the teeth for the placement of the new veneers. (Rarely no-prep veneers are a possible option) We then take an impression of the newly carefully prepared teeth. This impression will be sent to our laboratory for your final product to be fabricated. We only utilize the highest standard laboratories for fabrication of your dental work. This process at the laboratory takes a couple weeks. While the new veneers are being fabricated at the lab, we will provide you with a beautiful temporary solution to wear based upon your cosmetic wax-up! Instant smile make-over! Finally, the veneers are very carefully cemented to your teeth!
